I work predominantly in watercolour and graphite.
Experiencing life in Lutriwita Tasmania with its seasons, colours and precious wildlife whilst undergoing mass species loss from logging of old growth native forests and mining had a huge impact on me and my work.
From delicate wildflowers that bloom in remote alpine plateaus to the diverse range of animals that inhabit our wildest forests that populated Australia since Gondwana, the island is home to thousands of unique species of wildlife, many of which are found nowhere else on earth and are at risk of extinction.
It is through my own exploration and documenting what I see that I hope to honour our native Australian flora and fauna and draw more to see we cannot stand to lose in the face of climate change.
